Yes Yes that Chris Judge...the Jaffa...Tealc from Stargate. What has she become you ask? Yep a sci fi nerd who goes to conventions.
Well let me explain...
Firstly, for one thing Sci Fi nerds are very nice people. They come in all shapes and sizes, are all ages, and colours, and are very non judgmental. You can feel really comfortable amongst them, like they are all friends, drawn together by a love of Sci Fi. I couldn't believe how you could talk to everyone, and everyone was so warm and friendly.
Secondly, I do go to conventions. Last night was my second. And I loved it. I remember walking out of the Armageddon Convention last year with Kate and Tessa, laughing at how surreal the whole thing was...meeting actors that we would later watch their movies or tv shows. Happy to do fun stuff together! Well last night was the same...very surreal standing next to the man himself...talking about everything from global warming to hot flushes.He is a very intelligent guy and funny. Likes to take the piss...a bit similar to me.
Love this photo...the vegemite taste test! Looks like he can't believe the colour, the smell and yes the taste...the reaction was priceless!We can't wait for David Hewlett in November!
